Arrival & Parking
Your Visit
We are located on the corner of Lygon St and Argyle Place South. To ensure a quiet environment away from the street noise, our entrance is located on Argyle Place South. Look for the Little Pigeon signage and head up to Level 1!
There is metered street parking available along Lygon Street and Argyle Place South. Free 2-hour parking is available on Argyle Place South (our entrance street). Please allow an extra 10 minutes to find a spot, as Carlton can be quite busy, especially on weekends.
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before your scheduled time. This allows you to settle in, enjoy a glass of water, and fill out any necessary consultation forms without rushing your treatment time.
If you are running late, please call us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but please note that your treatment time may be shortened to ensure the next client isn't kept waiting. The full service fee will still apply.
While bookings are highly preferred to ensure we can give you our full attention, walk-ins are welcome if a therapist is available. To avoid disappointment, we recommend checking our live booking link before heading in.
Yes! We can often accommodate side-by-side treatments. Please call us directly to coordinate group bookings so we can ensure enough therapists are available.
Treatment Questions
Massage Therapy
For your first time, we recommend our Swedish Relaxation Massage. It uses gentle to medium pressure and is the perfect way to introduce your body to massage therapy.
Deep Tissue focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue to release chronic tension. Remedial Massage is more assessment-based, focusing on a specific injury or area of dysfunction to provide a functional outcome.
Yes, but please let us know when booking. We offer specialized pregnancy massages after the first trimester (12 weeks) to ensure the safety and comfort of both mother and baby.
For massages, most clients undress to their underwear. You will be professionally draped with towels at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed. For waxing, wear loose, comfortable clothing to avoid irritating the skin afterward.
This is your time! If you feel like chatting, we are happy to talk. If you prefer silence, that is perfectly fine too. We will always check in on pressure and comfort levels throughout the session.
Many of our remedial massage sessions are eligible for health fund rebates. Please check with us when booking to ensure your specific therapist is registered with your provider.
This is our most-loved add-on! It involves a deep-cleansing hair wash using premium products followed by an intensive scalp and neck massage. It is designed to release tension held in the head and jaw—perfect for those who suffer from headaches or stress.
Hair Removal
Waxing Services
We dedicate Tuesdays to our specialized waxing studio to ensure a focused, hygienic, and efficient environment for our clients. Some additional times may be available by request; please call us to check.
Hair should be at least 6mm long (about the length of a grain of rice) for effective removal. If hair is too short, the wax cannot grip properly. If it's your first wax or you haven't waxed in a while, hair should ideally be 1cm long for best results. We can trim if necessary.
There's no denying that waxing involves some discomfort—we are removing hair from the root, after all. However, the sensation is brief and decreases with regular waxing as hair grows back finer and sparser. We use premium waxes formulated for sensitive skin and employ techniques to minimise discomfort. Many clients find the results well worth the momentary sensation.
Typically, you'll enjoy smooth skin for 3-6 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle. With regular waxing, results often last longer as hair grows back slower and finer. We recommend booking your next appointment every 4-6 weeks for optimal maintenance.
Your Safety
Safety & Hygiene
We value our therapists' time. We kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee.
Absolutely. We never double-dip—every wax application uses a fresh spatula. All tools are either single-use or thoroughly sanitised. Treatment beds are covered with fresh paper and linens for each client. Our therapists maintain strict hygiene protocols and wear gloves throughout intimate waxing services.
We can often adapt treatments to work with various conditions, but please inform us when booking if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or are undergoing treatment. Some conditions (certain heart issues, acute injuries, some skin conditions) may require medical clearance. We prioritise your safety and will always err on the side of caution.
You should avoid waxing if you're using topical retinoids (including prescription and over-the-counter retinol products), Accutane, or certain acne medications on the area to be waxed. These products increase skin sensitivity and can cause lifting or damage. Please inform us of all skincare and medications when booking.
Post-Treatment
Aftercare
While not required, a warm shower can help relax your muscles before a massage and is appreciated before waxing services for hygiene purposes.
Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage. We also recommend avoiding heavy exercise or caffeine for a few hours to let the relaxation settle in.
Avoid heat (hot showers, saunas, exercise) for 24 hours. Don't touch or scratch the area. Apply a soothing aloe-based product if needed. Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools or the ocean for 48 hours. Exfoliate gently after 3 days to prevent ingrown hairs. Wear loose, breathable clothing after treatment.
You should feel relaxed and 'lighter.' Some people experience mild muscle soreness for 24–48 hours after a Deep Tissue session—this is normal and similar to the feeling after a workout.
For general maintenance and stress relief, once a month is ideal. If you are treating a specific injury or chronic pain, your therapist may recommend a more frequent schedule initially.
